The Arts Society West Sussex are a very friendly group who meet on the first Tuesday of each month for a talk on a wide variety of subjects related to the Arts. We hope to widen our interests through the highly qualified speakers who bring their subjects alive. We are so fortunate to have these brilliant speakers come to us in the beautiful Sussex countryside. The programme of talks covers a wide range of interests - this coming year we will visit ‘Impressionists in Australia’ and closer to home, ‘The Enigma of Edward Elgar’. See our Programme here.

The talks are held in Fittleworth Village Hall where there is good parking and an award winning village shop and cafe next door.

In addition, we have a flourishing Young Arts team who have developed close connections to our many primary schools in the area with an aim to support and encourage youngsters to take an interest in creative activities. More details can be found under Young Arts here.

As part of the national Arts Society we receive an informative quarterly magazine, are alerted to exhibitions and study days all over the country and have access to the extensive directory of excellent speakers.

Visits are a popular part of our programme and we have a wonderful selection of places to go to, within easy distance of Fittleworth. We also go further afield and take holidays to places of interest at home and abroad.

If you have an interest in Art, architecture, jewellery or anything connected with The Arts, do come and meet others with similar interests and listen to our highly qualified speakers, accredited by The Arts Society, imparting their extensive knowledge.
